2024 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America
Oct. 9, 2024

Every year, Healthiest Employers® names the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America award, comprising regional applicants of various sizes, locations, and industries.

Each company included on the list participated in the Healthiest Employers application process. The categories, scoring, and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national, non-biased group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness, and business communities.

The Healthiest Employers assessment is scored ‘Rubric style’ on a 1-100 scale. The assessment comprises six categories of yes/no, multiple choice, and short answer questions, with each question totaling .25-3 points.

The six categories are as follows:

  • Culture and Leadership Commitment
  • Foundational Components
  • Strategic Planning
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Programming and Interventions
  • Reporting and Analytics

To qualify for the national award, applicants are also scored based on an additional section called “the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America,” which scores the applicants’ essays and asks additional questions related to chronic conditions and workplace health. For more information on scoring, please visit our methodology page

  • 39.0% only provide specific roles or teams with work-from-home opportunities
  • 3.6% are considered a fully remote workforce with no required days in the office

Other notable statistics from this year’s groups/participants include:

  • 95.0% offer volunteer opportunities for employees to stay involved in their communities
  • 88.8% have a dedicated wellness program manager
  • 82.5% provide tuition reimbursement opportunities for employees to further their education
  • 81.3% host employee/family appreciation days, parties, picnics, or outings to build comradery among employees
  • 64.7% are analyzing gaps in care data for the strategic planning of the organization’s wellness program
  • 44.2% have introduced Mental Health First Aid certifications
  • 42.2% offer childcare assistance to working parents
  • 16.3% of companies report an average tenure of greater than 10 years
  • 11.8% state that their wellness program has been in place for more than 20 years

Congratulations to this year’s winners!
